Home-Based Learning
Family Star realizes that a school-based option does not meet the needs of all families and children, so we offer the opportunity to participate in a program option based out of your own home. This program is available to Early Head Start and Head Start eligible families, serving prenatal mothers and families with children up to age five completely free of charge.
Families who qualify for this option receive a weekly home visit from a certified Parent Educator to become their child’s first and best educator! Parent Educators utilize the Parents As Teachers model, which is an evidence and research-based curriculum.
Family Star combines Parents As Teachers with a Montessori approach that actively engages families to ensure their children are healthy, safe, and ready for school.
